Day 3 – Abundance Vs. Lack Mindset

Where the focus goes, energy grows.

This exercise is enlightening today! Once we understand that if we focus on Abundance or Lack, we can start to make positive changes immediately to our way of thinking and create a happier and more peaceful environment in our mind, energy, and wellbeing.

As you go about your daily activities, observe your thinking habits. Is your glass always half empty? Do you tend to focus on the worst outcomes, rather than the best?

For example, do you hear yourself saying any of the following:

  1. There’s not enough time for…
  2. I’m not good enough for…
  3. There’s not enough money for…
  4. There are not enough jobs.
  5. I’m too old for…
  6. That will never work.
  7. I’m not good with…

Remember, the Universe is ALWAYS giving; our thoughts are the direct communication line to the Universe and will give us more of what we are thinking.

There is a limitless supply of abundance around you at all times. We have to open our minds up to it. This is a very different exercise from the practice of Gratitude.

Let’s observe the abundance around you today as you move through your day.

Starting very small with this exercise, I find that nature is a great place to observe abundance at work, the blades of grass, the endless clouds, the leaves on the trees, and the natural cycles of the seasons where flowers that have perished come back again and again to display their beauty.

Look around you and see the abundance in your life right now in this present moment.

5 Minutes of Mindful Breathing

Simply pause what you are doing for 5 minutes

Focus on your breath

Follow the breath as it moves in and out of the body

Notice the body as it expands and releases

Can you feel the heat of your breath through your nose

Notice the journey of the breath

Release any tension with every out breath

How do you feel right, and what you you notice moving through you?

Let it be, and let it find an expression for itself when it is ready
